Cut Out
Should I seal a cut on my tree where water is weeping out to protect another limb that is dying?
I cut a dead limb off of an elm tree almost a week ago. When I did, water starting dripping out of the cut immediately. It is still losing water constantly, but not dripping. I noticed yesterday that one large limb on the other side and higher in the tree is about to die (it's leaves are drying up). I'm guessing that I should try to seal up the water leak in hopes that I can save the dying limb.
Thanks for the suggestions!
Seek an Arborist for advice. Seriously! That sounds strange did you prune the tree right and did you do it at the right time.
