Diamond Round
What's the best setting for a round diamond, about .75 carats?

Also, white gold or platimum?
And is .75c a good size or too small?

.75 carat is really big; but it totally depends on the lady wearing it. I think most traditional ladies would love a ring of that size.

But like the saying goes, size isn't all that matters. Clarity is also what makes a diamond more or less expensive. You could have a .75c diamond with a lot of flaws that would make it less valuable. But honestly, I don't know a woman besides my mother than can tell a flawed diamond from a perfect one.

Right now, I would go with a platinum setting. Have the jeweler look at the diamond and tell you what would be best to hold it. You certainly don't want it coming loose later down the road. I would go pretty simple; nothing too ornate.
