Elegant 1920's wedding?

I don't want flapper dresses and gangster stuff..
I'm thinking diamonds and pearls.. with a touch of Hollywood glamor! i need ideas for everything my mother is catering and making our cake (shes great) we are having a huge cake but I don't know what it will look like!!!
My reception venue is 2 story. Downstairs is for like a "cocktail hour" type thing where guest wait for my fiance and I to arrive via horse and carriage.. then we go up stairs for a seated dinner the children are in a separate area!

First of all you messed up with the dress. usually you theme...if you do a theme....around the dress....dresses back then were modest lacey and flowy...classy elegant..nothing too fitting
